The Code of Conduct is to ensure the safety of public and staff, to prevent disruptions to library services and to maintain the security of library property.

Meeting Room Rentals

Meeting Rooms and Special Occasion Venue Spaces at the Kitchener Public Library are primarily for the provision of library programs and events. When not needed by the library, Meeting Rooms and Special Occasion Venue Spaces will be available for rent to a third party on a first come, first served basis.

The Library welcomes personal, news media and limited commercial use of the library spaces for photography and filming.

Demonstrations and Protest

The Library and its grounds are not available for use by the public for the purpose of distributing petitions or literature, canvassing, surveying or protesting. Individuals who are conducting these activities must not:

• Intimidate or harass library users
• Block, hinder or impede travel to or from the library
• Disrupt the operations of the library and its services
