Welcome to Commons Studio

Kitchener Public Library has partnered with Lighthouse Equipment Ltd. to offer affordable access to video production and post-production equipment. As a Community Tools Project developed by founding partner The Working Centre, Commons Studio is dedicated to creating a culture of reciprocity – of people helping each other to learn and grow in their craft.

How to submit an order

  1. Add items to your cart.
  2. Select your requested rental period.
  3. Sign in, or sign up for an account. Returning customers will be prompted to sign in with their username and password. If you have rented from Commons Studio in the past but this is your first time using the webstore, please contact us for an account invitation. New customers are invited to create an account.
  4. Review your order. You will be prompted to enter your library card number, select whether you are renting as an individual or on behalf of a company, and accept our Rental Agreement.
  5. Submit your order. Once we receive your order, a Commons Studio representative will confirm availability and pricing. An order confirmation will be sent via email when your order is ready for pickup. Please allow up to 1 business day for your order confirmation email to arrive. Orders are prepared during our regular operating hours.
