The Waterloo Historical Society (WHS) has published annual volumes of historical articles since 1913.

A complete set of the WHS Volumes can be found in the Grace Schmidt Room. Earlier volumes have been bound with several years in one book.

How to find articles

1. Card catalogue in the Grace Schmidt Room: The first few drawers are the original index for the annual volumes, spanning the years 1913 – 1988. References to articles will contain the letters WHS, the year of the volume, and page numbers of the article.
2. Waterloo County to 1972: An Annotated Bibliography of Regional History is an index to the annual volumes from 1913 – 1991. Articles are indicated by the heading Waterloo Historical Society, followed by a years, volume number and page(s).
3. An update to the bibliography was printed in 1996, spanning the years 1992 – 1995.
   Since 1995, the annual volume has not been indexed, although the Table of Contents in each volume includes details about the articles.
