The Little Prince by Mark Osborne
Review by Heraa M., Youth Reviewer
After a young girl’s failure to enroll in a prestigious academy, her childhood, dreams, and passions are put aside as she is forced to prioritize her academics through a rigorous schedule crafted by her ambitious mother in hopes of a brighter future. However, after an interaction with her elderly aviator neighbour, the little girl rediscovers the essential things in life on a journey to fight her mother and societal pressure to live a unique, fulfilling life.
In my opinion, "The Little Prince" does a great job catching the attention of the audience from the start to the end of the movie through the use of contrasting, unique characters, multiple unique settings, and an unpredictable ending. The use of specific contrasting colours to indicate a positive or negative event allows the audience to foreshadow future events and keeps them interested till the end. Moreover, the use of music effectively adds drama and suspense to the movie making it all the more interesting.
All in all, "The Little Prince" was one of the greatest movies I watched during my summer! The movie was filled with many valuable lessons of humility, arrogance, priorities, uniqueness, optimism, passion, love, and much more, which all remain relevant today. I particularly enjoy the unique characters in the movie and how it challenges societal norms or beliefs of the reader about adulthood or life in general. I would definitely recommend "The Little Prince" to anyone who is looking for a very informative, adventurous, and entertaining movie in the adventure fiction genre.
