Get to know some of the planets in our solar system, and how to spot them! Local amateur astronomers will bring out their telescopes to help you discover the beauty of our galaxy from our own neighbourhood.
Dr. Michel Fich from the University of Waterloo will present on some of the objects in the sky this evening, and how to find them. Dr. Fich is an astronomer specializing in studies of star formation, the interstellar medium, and the structure of galaxies.
As the second part of the program will occur outside, weather permitting, please ensure to check local forecasts and dress accordingly for the evening temperatures. Mars, Venus, and the Moon should be visible if the weather is clear.
