Kitchener, ON – Gear up for a week of family-friendly fun as we close out the holiday season and welcome 2024! Kidspark Winter Festival returns for another year with free activities for all ages at Kitchener Public Library locations across the city. A beloved local event, Kidspark Winter Festival is the perfect way to make the school holiday and the winter season extra special for the whole family.

“We are excited for Kidspark Winter Festival to return to Kitchener Public Library this year. We will have more than 20 free, family-friendly programs with special guests, entertainers, crafts and stories at all five library locations,” said Lindsey Skeen, Kitchener Public Library’s Division Manager of Children’s and Teen Services.

This year’s festival will run from Thursday, December 28 to Saturday, January 6. Take in the music of Erick Traplin with a free concert at each Kitchener Public Library location, learn to make seasonal crafts with materials you can find around the house, embrace your inner penguin with the South Pole Party, practice your French while crafting a winter scene at scène de neige, and more!

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Kitchener Public Library to bring the Kidspark Winter Festival back for another year,” said Steve Roth, Manager of Special Events for the City of Kitchener. “Events like these bring the whole community together and we’re excited about the variety of activities for residents of all ages to enjoy!”

There are activities scheduled at all Kitchener Public Library locations throughout the city, so there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy close to home! All activities at Kidspark Winter Festival are free but some will require registration to help manage limited space at some locations.
