September 18, 2023 @ 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM
Available at: Central Library

What is public art and what is its role in city placemaking? Hosted by Desarée Rosskopf from the Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery, this walking tour will look at some of the amazing murals, installations, and sculptures that make Kitchener home. Desarée will discuss street art vs graffiti, the ethics of public art, and the role art can play in our city. At the end of the tour, participants will have the opportunity to contribute their own public artwork to the KWAG's mini art gallery.

Please meet us at 9:30am at the Central Lobby for this 2 hour walking tour in downtown Kitchener.

Desarée Rosskopf is the Public Programs Coordinator at KWAG. She has an MA in History from Western University and researches collective memory and placemaking.

Registration is required.
