OCD is a serious and debilitating disorder that affects approximately 370,000 Canadians, but it is often quite misunderstood. This presentation by clinical psychology graduate students at the University of Waterloo will provide an overview of a wide range of obsessions and compulsions and offer an understanding of why these symptoms persist. In doing so, stigma and misinformation about OCD will be addressed to leave listeners with an accurate understanding of this condition.
This talk is offered in partnership with the University of Waterloo Anxiety Studies lab and the University of Waterloo Centre for Mental Health Research and Treatment.
Registration is required.
