Facilitator and musician Joni NehRita is excited to offer a series of Música do Círculo/Circle Music sessions in partnership with Kitchener Public Library! Circle Music is a collective music-making experience that is centred around core elements including: body percussion, improvisation, singing, movement and non-verbal communication. It is structured around musical games that are linked in a “flow”- that is - without interruptions - and uses cooperation and play as a means to create presence and connection.
No music experience required. Open to adults. Attend one or all sessions - sessions will also be offered from 7-8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19; Tuesday, October 17; and Tuesday, December 12.
Registration required.
Joni began her studies with Música do Círculo online in February 2022, and in January 2023, she travelled to Brazil to complete her Leading MdC training. She is one of only 2 graduates in Canada! Música do Círculo (MdC) is both the name of the collective as well as the methodology/practice developed by founders, Pedro Consorte, Ronaldo Crispim and Zuza Gonçalves. This growing international community is eager to spread the joy of MdC/Circle Music to our respective countries. We believe that this practice can change the world!
