KITCHENER, ON — Kitchener Public Library is proud to announce a new partnership with Cafe Pyrus. Cafe Pyrus has been selected as the vendor of the café space at Kitchener Public Library’s central location. This new partnership with Cafe Pyrus further animates Kitchener Public Library as a community destination, where people connect, ideas flourish, and lives are transformed.

Cafe Pyrus is a well-established vegan-based, local café that focuses on fresh food. Cafe Pyrus is dedicated to using fair and sustainably sourced ingredients in their thoughtfully curated menus. Located in Central Library’s Reading Lounge, this will be the third location for Cafe Pyrus.

“We are so excited to open in the library! Community has always been a value for Pyrus and Kitchener Public Library is a natural extension of that focus,” said Tyzun James, Cafe Pyrus owner. “Similar to our Outpost menu, we will focus on incredible drinks, fresh baked goods, take-away snacks, and the friendly service you’ve come to expect from us.”

“We are delighted to welcome Cafe Pyrus to Kitchener Public Library,” said Mary Chevreau, CEO, Kitchener Public Library. “We’re thrilled that Cafe Pyrus’ leadership and staff values align so closely with our mission, vision, and values and look forward to building together on Kitchener Public Library’s reputation as a dynamic, welcoming destination.”

Work is now underway to prepare for the café opening expected on Tuesday, September 6.
