Starting on December 1, our holds wrappers are getting a brand-new look! We created this new design to protect your privacy and reduce our environmental footprint.
Holds wrappers will now feature:
- The first three letters of your last name
- The first letter of your first name
- The last four digits of your library card number
You’ll also see that the pick-up date and item barcode have been moved to the bottom of the wrapper. By simplifying the layout, we’ll use less paper and keep your borrowing private and secure. Now that’s what we call a win-win!
Let’s look at an example! If Ron Swanson is picking up his holds, his name will be represented as “SWA R” on his hold wrappers. The last four digits of his library card, “8204,” will be printed below.
The wrappers will have a new look but you'll continue to find your holds in the same place, filed in alphabetical order by your last name. If you have questions about finding your hold, just stop by a service desk and we’ll help you out!
