"How to End a Love Story" by Yulin Kuang
Review by Melany Redman, Venues Assistant at Central Library and Library Assistant at Southwest Library

I was fortunate enough to meet Yulin Kuang when she visited Central Library, so I was very excited to read her book. The story started off slowly though and did not immediately grab my attention. However, once I start a book I am determined to finish it, and I am so glad I did. About a quarter of the way through, the story line picks up and whisks you off into a sad, witty, romantic, sexy whirlwind that I could not put down.
This is not your typical boy meets girl and falls madly in love kind of story. “How to End a Love Story” deals with the trials and tribulations of family dynamics as well as touches on suicide. These are tough subjects that aren’t easily portrayed but Yulin integrates them into her novel in a way that makes them approachable. Although in the end, this is a romance novel so there are plenty of steamy moments. Definitely worth reading if you love a good romance!
