Wednesday by Charles Addams

“You’re a brilliant girl, Wednesday, but sometimes you get in your own way.”
“Wednesday” is a Netflix show written by Charles Addams, Miles Miller, and Alfred Gough. It is a comedy horror, which takes place in a small town that only manages financially because of Nevermore Academy, a school for outcasts, monsters, and freaks. Wednesday Adams, an outcast, starts to attend Nevermore, the same school her parents attended, after being expelled from her previous school. While at Nevermore, she attempts to master her psychic ability, find a monster, and solve the mystery that tangled her parents 25 years ago. While doing so, she must find her true friends whom she can trust and who are waiting to stab her.
“I’m not sure whose twisted idea it was to put hundreds of adolescents in underfunded schools run by people whose dreams were crushed years ago, but I admire the sadism. “
Before watching this show, it is good to know that “Wednesday” is rated TV -14 for fear, and language it also contains jumpscares and violent scenes. I absolutely loved this show, I'm not a horror fan, but this show had me hooked. The mysterious and thrilling plot with a pinch of romance was terrific, and I couldn't stop watching. The characters were all very well-built. My favourite character was Wednesday, her gothic and straightforward personality was perfect for the character and plot. The graphics and actual visuals were also great. I would give this a 4.5 out of 5 stars and recommend it to anyone that loves mysteries, horror and comedy.
“Nevermore is like no other boarding school. It’s a magical place.”
