Chromebooks are fast, secure computers that use Android apps rather than traditional software. They are ideal for internet browsing and working with cloud-based applications.
We have a number of Chromebooks available for in-library use. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be placed on hold.
All KPL locations have Chromebooks that can be borrowed for up to one week. Each Chromebook comes with a mouse, power adaptor, information sheet and carrying case.
The Borrow a Chromebook collection is supported by the Government of Canada's Healthy Communities Initiative, and was developed in partnership with the City of Kitchener.
iPads are portable touchscreen tablets that use Apple apps instead of traditional software. They are ideal for browsing the internet and streaming audio and video.
You can print in black-and-white or colour at all library locations.
Wireless printing is available at all locations. You can send your print jobs to any of our libraries, and pick up your printouts in person or by using curbside pickup.
Colour photocopiers are available at all locations.
You can also use the photocopiers to scan documents and send copies to your email, free of charge.
Faxes can be sent upon request. Please ask staff for assistance. You cannot receive faxes at the library.
