Join us for an interactive presentation with Scott Weldon from The Waterloo Cycling Club! He will be covering a variety of topics this Bike Month including how to get started with cycling, bicycle safety and foundational skills when riding. Scott will also be demonstrating some basic repairs including how to fix a flat tire on your bike and showing off the benefits of a cargo bike!

About the Presenter 

Scott has a passion for everything bikes! He gained lots of experience on two wheels from racing, year-round commuting, riding with his middle school students, not really driving while in-town, and convincing his own kids this is all good fun! 

About the Waterloo Cycling Club 

The Waterloo Cycling Club was conceived in 1967 by Roy Conway. After becoming an official club in 1968 efforts were made to connect with local youth to create more awareness around competitive cycling. The club to this day boasts a number of competitive racers but has evolved to meet the broader needs of our community. The Waterloo Cycling Club strives to create an inclusive, engaged community of cyclists from recreational riders to elite races in all disciplines.  

The club endeavours to create multiple opportunities at all levels for club members to participate in organized rides and events, races, and community leadership in the Waterloo Region.
