April 24, 2023 @ 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
Available at: Central Library

Join us for this special Book Club geared towards ESL learners! In this program we have fun discussing and reading different English texts together. This program runs once a month. All newcomers are welcome.

Registration is required.

Suggested minimum CLB level is 5. Contact Kaia for help if you’re not sure if the book is the right level for you.

You need a library card to access the texts we'll be reading. If you don't have a card, you can get one on our website. You will also need to visit a library location to collect a book for this program.

In April, we are discussing The Kalahari Typing School for Men by Alexander McCall-Smith (retold by Annette Keen). We will have copies of the text available for you to pick up at the branch location of your choice after you register. Read the book, and join us for a great discussion on April 24. If there is remaining time at the end of the program, you will explore our other materials.

When a new detective agency opens in town, Precious Romotswe has an unexpected problem - competition. At the same time her assistant, Mma Makutsi, has problems of her own. As always, solutions can be found at Botswana's No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, thanks to the sensible Mma Ramotswe and plenty of Red Bush Tea.
