Natural light, picturesque backdrops, tall ceilings, stunning art pieces and multiple rentable spaces make Kitchener Public Library the perfect venue to host your next event.

After a successful summer of hosting private wedding ceremonies, the library is now ready to expand special occasion venue offerings to include other spaces in the iconic downtown Kitchener building. The library can be rented out after closing hours and transformed into anything from a classy banquet to a dazzling concert hall for dancing the night away.

The spacious Reading Lounge can comfortably seat 150 guests banquet style with space for a dance floor, while the 200-seat Theatre is equipped with a built-in stage and audio/visual equipment. Once the weather warms up, the Courtyard makes for an ideal outdoor event with up to 50 guests.

"The versatile spaces in the library make it the perfect venue for any event, big or small. Weddings, corporate events, concerts and even trade shows can all easily happen here. We have the advantage of being a fully accessible building that’s conveniently located in the downtown core – with parking too! Bring your own catering, alcohol and decorations and personalize your event any way you want. Basically, we’re fully equipped for you to throw a big party!"  -- Farida Pedhiwala, Special Occasions Associate, Kitchener Public Library
