Mysterious Barricades: Cross Canada Concerts for Suicide Awareness, Prevention and Hope

Mysterious Barricades Concert Society, organizes an annual series of cross-Canada concerts for suicide awareness, prevention, and hope. Every year in September, they host live concerts performed in a variety of cities across Canada featuring many of the country's finest professionally trained musicians and performers.

Inspiring Indigenous Youth with Tsista Kennedy

At just 17 years old, Tsista (Tehatsistahawai) Kennedy has made his mark not only as an Indigenous artist, but by spreading the word among youth about his culture, and advocating leadership.

As Canada's first indigenous school board trustee (Thames Valley District School Board), Tsista has visited schools in Kitchener, London, Toronto and others, speaking to students about the indigenous culture, and inspiring them to reach their potential..

OPENING RECEPTION: Saturday, September 7 @ 1 - 3 pm

Tsista is a 17-year-old artist from Beausoleil First Nation and Oneida Nation of the Thames. His artwork is a variation of Woodland Style using acrylic paint markers on canvas, and India ink on paper. He has always had a deep interest in artwork, but didn't adopt the Woodland Style until the age of thirteen. 

Literary Trivia- with Jeff & Miranda

In honour of International Literacy Day we are flexing our literary muscles with a Trivia night at the Library. Themes will all be literary based: about books, characters, themes, authors etc. It is feel good trivia for book lovers. There will be prizes, and snacks!

We've got the best Trivia hosts in the Waterloo Region Jeff & Miranda.

Register your team, and come for a great Thursday night at the Library. Teams consist of 4-6 members.
