From e-books and audiobooks, to movies, music and learning resources, explore the wide range of library resources you can access from the comfort of your own living room with a digital library card.
What is a Digital Library Card?
An digital library card allows you to access many of our online resources. You can borrow e-books and audiobooks, read popular magazines and newspapers, stream movies and music, learn a new skill, and much more!
Who can get a Digital Library Card?
You are eligible for a digital library card if you:
(1) Live within the Region of Waterloo
(2) Do not yet have a Kitchener Public Library card
If you already have a library card with us, you need not apply - your existing card gives you access to our full range of digital services!
Limitations
A digital library card is a temporary barcode designed to provide access to a selection of the library's online products and services. It cannot be used to borrow physical materials from the library. Update: While provincial public health measures remain in place, digital cards may be used to place holds on, and borrow, up to 5 physical items.
Once expired, your digital library card may no longer allow access to some online resources. Visit any of our locations to upgrade to a full library card.
