Library staff are able to conduct specific lookups of information for an individual, event or organization and ask that lookups be limited to one event, person or organization per request. 

 

If you require paper copies of the information provided, please note that reproduction, copyright and postage/fax charges apply.  An estimate of these charges can be provided to you upon request.

 

Library staff are unable to undertake extensive family or genealogy research on your behalf.

 

 

 

Obituaries

 

The GSR does provide a fee based obituary search service.  For $10 plus GST, staff will search up to 5 editions of the local newspaper for an obituary after the date of death.  The fee includes search time, reproduction, copyright, taxes and postage or fax charges. 

 

Please note that the person requesting the obituary search must provide the date of death for the deceased.  Payment, by credit card, is required in advance.  A copy of the obituary can either be mailed or faxed to the requester.
