Helaine Becker
Helaine Becker is an award-winning author of both fiction and non-fiction books. Babytime

It is never too early to bring babies and books together. Babies (0-11 months) and their caregivers are invited to join us for this special program designed especially for KPL's youngest customers. Each 20 - 30 minute session will include rhymes, songs, stories and bounces.

For the Love of Moulding
During this 45 minute program we will be using our hands to make some simple creatures using plasticine.

Jammy Jamboree
Did you ever want to wear your pajamas to the library? Well now is your chance! Join us for a storytime in comfort.  Wear your pajamas, bring your favourite stuffed toy, and a small flashlight. During this 45 minute program we will share bedtime-related stories, songs, activities and even create a craft to take home.

Pile O' Puppets
Puppets are a pile of fun! During this 60 minute program we will learn about different types of puppets and create some of our own to take home. We'll provide the materials and you supply the creativity.

Games Galore

It's a Zoo in Here!
If you love animals then this is the storytime for you! During this 45 minute program we will share stories about animals, engage in animal-themed activities, and we'll make a small craft. Please feel free to bring along your favourite stuffed animal to share in the fun with you! (*no real animals/pets please.)

Calling All Craft Lovers!
Do you love to draw and colour? Do you enjoy working with scissors and glue? If you do, we have a fun afternoon planned for you! All creative children are invited to come in and put their crafting skills to work during this 60 minute session.  We will have a large variety of patterns and supplies available for you to create with.

Looking for the perfect way to thank your Mom for the millions of things she does for you? Moms are such hard workers, and their hard work shouldn't go unnoticed! Show Mom just how much you love and appreciate her by joining us for a fun afternoon dedicated to mothers. We will be sharing some stories and making a priceless gift for Mother's Day.

Twilight Tales & Pool Plunge

Stories are for sharing. The whole family is invited to enjoy books, songs, and more during this special half hour at the library. There is no need to register, just drop by and share 30 minutes of fun family time. Then put on your bathing suits and jump in the pool!

All ages welcome. No registration required!

The library story time is free of charge. If you choose to participate in the swim portion of the program, there is a fee of $9.80 per family or $2.70 per person. This fee covers the cost of proper safety supervision in the pool.

Today's Thailand, yesterday's Siam, is the land of smiles, the friendliest people and a vibrant culture. Observe the silence of its ancient ruins or join in the exuberant festivals. Learn about the culture and great possibilities for exploring nature. We will start our tour in Bangkok and will head north to Chang Mai and Chang Rai. Our destination is the Hill Tribe of the North.
