Autism Collection

Waterloo Wellington Autism Services logo

To help people living with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), their families, friends, and educators, Kitchener Public Library houses a unique collection of health information.

This extensive collection was made possible through the vision and generous financial donations of Waterloo Wellington Autism Services.

The Autism Collection includes resources for individuals and families who work and live with autism, researchers, and education and health care professionals. Both genders, and all age and ethnic groups are represented in the collection.

You may search the collection online.

You may also visit Central Library and browse the collection, found on the upper floor.

Anyone can borrow from this excellent collection. Use your Kitchener Public Library card or, if you don’t have one, request a Limited Access Borrower's Card. The card is free and may be used to borrow materials from the Autism Collection.

Items can be sent for pickup to any Kitchener Public Library location by placing a hold on the item, and choosing your preferred pickup location.

Customers from other library systems may request materials from the Autism Collection through their local public libraries via Interlibrary Loan.
