IMAGE: Portraits by Mike Brown

Realism Through My Eyes

Airbrushed Photo Realism Paintings
by Michael Brown

Opening Reception:
Tuesday, January 9 at 7pm
Central Library

A tool and die maker by trade, Mike discovered airbrushing six years ago while building remote control airplanes and helicopters, using YouTube videos to learn airbrush technique.

In 2015 Mike started painting with traditional oil. He often uses the two mediums together and strives for a realism effect in his portraits. While this is still a hobby, Mike is busy fulfilling requests for portraits of beloved pets, cars, boats, motorcycles and of course, people.

You can find Mike in his home studio tinkering on his 3D printer or helicopters, and out on a back country road with wife Cindy as they photograph the art all around them.
