Country Hills Community Library
About the Library
Country Hills Community Library officially opened on October 20, 2004. Resulting from a partnership with the Waterloo Catholic District School Board, our newest Community Library is located at the new St. Mary's High School, on the corner of Block Line Rd. and Homer Watson Blvd., in the rapidly expanding Country Hills neighbourhood.
Everyone benefits from cooperative school/community library ventures. By sharing costs, both the School Board and the community get a facility far superior than either could have achieved on their own. At over 14,000 square feet, the Country Hills Library is our largest community library yet.
Partnering a community library with a high school also encourages ongoing library use by our young people and provides an opportunity for all age groups in our community to work, study, and enjoy reading together.
The new library also features a large community meeting room, a children's program area, a special teen area and an open-concept computer centre.
