Save Electricity with Self-Audit Tools from KPL

An energy audit kit is now available at KPL for a three week loan.  Using the monitors provided, you can determine where, when and how electricity is used in your home or business.  Energy meters to measure household appliance energy usage are also available.

Energy Audit Kit

The kit includes EM100 Energy Meters that measure electricity use by each appliance.  A PowerCost monitor lets you see how much electricity your home or business is using at any given moment.  Data sheets and a computer spreadsheet help you track usage and calculate savings.   Simple energy-saving solutions that target your household patterns are also suggested.

Find the Energy Audit Kit in the KPL Catalogue.

Appliance Energy Meters

In addition to the audit kit, KPL has purchased several appliance energy meters, which allow you to measure the amount of energy used by each or your household applicaces. Energy meters are available for checkout at all library locations.
