About The Library
Wi-Fi HotSpot
Kitchener Public Library, in partnership with Atria Networks, provides free wireless access to
the Internet at all KPL locations.
Wireless Internet at KPL is available during the following hours:
Main Library - available during all open hours
Country Hills - available from 3:00 pm to close
Forest Heights - available during all open hours
Grand River Stanley Park - available from 2:00 pm to close
Pioneer Park - available during all open hours
Using Wireless Internet
To log on to the wireless network with your Wi-Fi-enabled laptop or PDA device, follow these steps:

Turn on/restart your Wi-Fi-enabled device.

Enable your wireless adaptor.

Select SSID/network “Atria-Library", or the library location.

Start your browser.

Accept the library’s Internet Access Policy, which takes you to the KPL website.

It is the responsibility of the library customer to configure his/her laptop to access the wireless service.
Printing is not available through the wireless network.
A wireless hotspot is not a secured network environment. Keep this in mind if you are accessing confidential personal or business information.
It is the responsibility of the library customer to take appropriate measures to secure his/her data and equipment.
Implementation of wireless service at branch libraries was funded by the Ontario Ministry of Culture.
